    Less Foot Knights mini-mod

    For Stainless Steel 6.4

    This mod reduces the number of men in all units representing dismounted nobility/knights to a number more similar/equal to their mounted variants(i.e. on Huge settings most foot knights will have around 60 men compared to their original 120) and boosts their attack +1 and defense skill +2 to compensate.

    My intention was to give dismounted knights and units depicting nobility fighting on foot in general
    a more distinct character and role on the battlefield. Foot Knights are no longer just elite front line infantry,they are now much better suited to a heavy support role.

    They're most effective when flanking or exploiting weak points when in the fieldand excel at gaining footholds in sieges, however, their relatively small numbers make them much easier to outflank and overwhelm than before, one well placed cavarly charge can cut them in half or worse!

    Installation
    ------------
    Simply copy the export_descr_unit.txt file from the zip into your data folder!


    The following dismounted units get a +1 Attack and +2 Defense Skill boost
    and the number of men is reduced to be similar(if not equal to) their mounted versions

    use templar banner.

    Nice beginning in modding TMT + rep

    But one thing that I will suggest is not reducing by 1/2 but more by 1/4 like the Spatharios tou Vasileios which is 45 units in normal setting. Otherwise even light men at arm could seriously injured these units.

    Yeah, I've only really tested it on huge settings so I was kinda hoping it would simply scale appropriately at the smaller unit sizes. I'm still playing around with the stats though, it might just be a simple matter of giving another tiny boost to stats to find a happy medium.

    I'm hoping to keep the numbers like they are now though, I like the idea of foot knights simply representing their mounted kin who've dismounted for whatever reason before the battle, whereas with the higher numbers they feel more like someone made the feudal call and specifically ordered them to leave their horses at home .
