Default Medeval 2 Total War blinks and then goes black

I tried to figure out this another time ago on TWC, HOWEVER, Things came up. So I couldnt. So, Here is what happens...

I install the game from the disk, good...Then, it launches. Good so far...and then the "Medieval 2 Total War" thing pops up. Then...

    *DINK!*

The screen goes black, and it says "A Unspecified Error has caused MTW2 to quit, were sorry"

I dont know whats going on here, If I did, I could fix it. But I cant becasue well...I DONT KNOW. I dont think its anything to do with RAM, And I am almost for sure its not anything graphical because my graphic requirements are in its reccomened settings, so. Could anyone at least help pin-point whats going on here?

Even with XP, you need a gig to have a chance, 2gigs to play decent.

Couldnt I do that Flash-Drive-Into-RAM-Thingy?? Just a thought.

Also, My old Laptop actully can run it (It lags like hell, but still...) And I beleve it has less RAM...Which is strange, maybe it just has a bit faster RAM, but I really dont know.

It would be slow and may not work depending on the speed of your harddrive, how much free space, and how well defragmented.

Go ahead and post the the dxdiag. It maybe more than memory.
