Release date: 17:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, the 29th of January
I hereby announce my next project: Menethian Steel
It'll be my largest project so far.
Not all features are yet decided, but here are those who have been decided so far:
Stand-alone
Menethian Steel (MS) will be completely stand-alone.
One will not need any version of SS installed. |
2TPY
MS will only have 2TPY campaigns. As well as decreasing the install-size, this makes modding it much easier.
One Settlement Type
There will only be one settlement type, in which all buildings are buildable.
This allows much greater settlement customization. |
Dynamic Siege Upkeep
Dynamic siege upkeep will be implemented, as seen in the Fixes for 6.3 and MSC, and more recently in 6.4. The implementation differs from the one included in 6.4, though.
Script Optimizations
Like the Fixes for 6.3 and MSC, all scripting in MS will be optimized to reduce turn-times.
Includes the UI Image Overhaul Project
It will include my UI Image Overhaul Project, which tweaks many UI images to improve graphics.
Includes the Teutonic Crusades models, textures, and icons
It will include the models, textures, and UI images from Teutonic Crusades.
Expanded Building Tree
It will include Buildings, Innovation, Renovation, and Construction. Several new buildings will also be added to BRIC before or at the release of MS.
Compact Installation
The installer, and installation size, will be smaller than the latest few iterations of Stainless Steel due to several changes.
The compression will be higher.
The Lusted AI has been removed as next to no one uses it. Custom battles have also been removed, except for the Grassy Plain map, as they take a large amount of space.
The 1TPY campaigns have also been removed. |
Historically Accurate Settlements
As described in this thread. Early campaign only. Ownership changes only.
Custom Images
MS will include several custom images.
