Is there anyone other than myself currently playing Napoleon Total War Online who doesn't "hack" their units in order to increase their units' stats and attributes?

No.

Is it a very common thing? Cuz I've played like 30 matches and I don't know whether my opponents cheat or not.

More than likely you ran into a large number of hacking cheaters in those thrity games ikcti. I would estimate that well over half of the Napoleon Total War Online players now employ one or more hacks in order to give them an edge in battle. Some of these cheaters of course, are far more blatant at cheating than others, but all of them should be either hanged or guillotined in my opinion.

I actually saw a guy take Sweden the other day and deploy a large number of his units behind the enemy's lines! He apparently had both Swedish and Spanish units in his army under the same Swedish flag! You have to give some of these hackers credit for creativity at least. The evidence is on YouTube, along with evidence of a hacker's infantry units firing at enemy units which are upwards of four hundred yards or more in the distance and other various cheats.

By the way, I was kind of wondering about Tyler_the_Great, and now my suspicions are confirmed!

Played tons of games and I haven't come across any 'hackers' yet.

i have only seen a few hackers. but they are often very bad players so it makes no difference

i dunno post some replays of hackers? its been many months now show us someone hacking anyone.

I agree with Major Hemorrhoid and Tyler accept from my experience every player I encountered uses more than one hack or cheat havent yet met anyone who uses 1 nevermind 0!!!! I have heard of one player who doesnt hack but this may only be a legend!!!! This is most likely caused by the recent advancements in black magic now anyone can use magic to hack the game and due to the evil nature of ALL human beings every player is now a hacker!!!!! :O

No, indeed. You are the only non cheater... I cheat´n´hack, DunkFunk cheat´n´hack, whole AG cheat´n´hack, Huntsman cheat´n´hack, BSA cheat´n´hack... its just you, Major, just you who dont- and tbh its a shame that you dont! A shame!

There are actually many of videos on You Tube and other sources which illustrate blatant hacking taking place in Napoleon Total War Online DunkFunk, however I believe that it's against TWC forum rules to post links to the videos (which is why I've refrained from posting them). It's very easy to find the videos with a simple search however.

I've also personally observed a large number of games in which my opponents were obviously cheating. One example would be when three of my Old Guard infantry units were firing into an isolated enemy light infantry unit from three sides (pinning and double enfilading fire), and the light infantry unit not only fought to the last man, but inflicted heavy casualties on my Old Guards in the process! As insane as that sounds, I had actually already killed my enemy's general when this travesty occurred! Similar "things" occur in pretty much every game I play now. I'm afraid that most of you are either blind or in complete denial if you haven't noticed the massive number of cheating hackers playing Napoleon Total War Online at the present time (or possibly, as some of you have suggested, I'm the only noncheater left!).

yeah this one time i got beaten by a lone fencible and then i like shot him but he didnt die but then i died.

It is so obvious that YOU are the one in denial accualy claiming that you are not a hacker

Gentlemen,

I had no idea that it was possible to, as you put it "hack", or as I would say alter the descr_units.txt file to improve the stats of your troops. I was under the impression that everyone's stats were drawn from the host players file. Hence if the host had altered this file the alteration would apply to everyone's units.

Please disabuse me of this error.

when someone alter the stats of the troops, it would count as mod and would be shown as another version of the game.
Sir Major Hemorrhoid is a troll, but he is a nice troll and dont bite- so we tend to feed him (sometimes). But a troll is a troll and he do indeed kind of damage to the base(community). People are in doubt... not nice, but every N:TW MP player knows it beter, because of experience. So dont mind about this issue. If you like, feed him, he will answer with a lot of smileys, i guess.

You would be surprised at how powerful those (hacked) Old Guard fencibles can be DunkFunk! Believe it or not, it's quite easy to hack your units (fencibles included) to the point where they possess Old Guard attributes (such as "fear" and "inspire") and stats that are actually superior to those of the French Old Guard! Of course I would never do this (although the vast majority of Napoleon Total War Online players are now blatantly hacking the game code), mainly because it defeats the entire purpose of playing the game in the first place! I actually long for the days when 90%+ of Napoleon Total War players were merely "rage quitters," as opposed to today when 90%+ are blatant hackers!
