    Default Pagan Vs Catcholism

So i play lithuania in grand companing in KGCM 4.2 and i just got offered to turn into catcholism,i would love to stay pagan becouse it would be really fun for me but in the offer i had read somthing that when i turn catcholic i will get more advanced technologies so i am kinda worried. So could you list of advantages and disadvantages of turning to catcholic. Also i would like to know will i lose temples of my gods and special units that can be recruited there? It would be even better if you would direct me to any thread that got more information about this.

Also for those ppl who will say "How you can convert? It would mean teutonic order wins!" Dont worry teutonic order is no more .

Înfrânt nu eşti atunci când sângeri,
nici ochii când în lacrimi ţi-s.
    Adevăratele înfrângeri,
    sunt renunţările la vis.

Don't bother converting, the pope is a huge pain in the neck - regardless of what kind of cool new units you might get, having the pope threatening to excommunicate you half the time will hamper all your plans. Getting excommunicated isn't that bad, except that public order can lower drastically in your lands, and of course your capital is now a perfect target for crusade. Besides, that's the whole point of playing as a non-catholic, so you can use non-catholic units =)

Don't convert, you will lose the pagan units for generic knights and such.

Playing Lithuania is fun because of their unique units, what they lose with converting...

Turn Catholic and you lose your unique Pagan buildings, units, and agents. If you wish to play a Catholic faction, then do so from the beginning.
In my opinion, Lithuania should stay Pagan. It's the only reason to choose them in the first place.
If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader, look at The M2TW: Kingdoms Manual
Page 14 lists the difference in troops from Pagan to Catholic.
Page 16 describes Religious and Buildings options.

When in doubt, search the web for a manual.
    Hope that helps.

In your region there should be 'mercenery spearmen', which is more then enough to take the charge.

Actually your most powerful siege units are: spies (5-10) and light cavalry

1: enter the spes, they open gates, and in goes your cavalry on all entrances

2: siege with only a few horse archers (lithuania has one which is increased in numbers) and the AI will sally. Instant slaughter. (the AI undervalues horse archers when deciding on a sally)

No. Only the Teutonic Order ca use that house.
Officer to a soldier who refuses to fight: There three types of soldiers who don't have to fight. They are called KIA, MIA and POW and you are not one of them.

    Tosa will be missed.

I have only played the Lithuanians in the Kingdoms Teutonic campaign, but I have actually not tried to convert, so I have no idea what specific changes it creates.
Doesn´t really feel the necessity of it either - The Lithuanians are way better than they seem as it is, and why not relish the opportunity to serve the Old gods in their struggle for survival?
    It´s more exciting that way...

I think so. If I remember right, in one of my campaigns their was both a Crusade and JIhad on Constaninople at the same time.

No unfortunately one can't mod the level in which a guild could be available that's hard-coded.
