Google Sketchup. Useful for Total War modding??
Just got into sketchup and i find the learning curve to be incredibly quick and simple compared to pretty much everything i've used previously.
Anyway, is there a use for this regarding total war mods? Buildings and castles?
Could you use for for city modding? If not do you think it would be a good way for people who have no technical modding skills to present some of their ideas to people with ability?

Re: Google Sketchup. Useful for Total War modding??
I use sketchup, it's awesome. Buildings are easy to do with sketchup and I would recommend making models like that, but I think the texturing would be strange. Also, it is really hard to make units with sketchup, and things like skeletons, animations and lightmaps/etc. are impossible in that program. But for ideas and buildings, it's alright I reckon.
BTW, all of this is coming from someone who only has experience in sketchup and who has limited modding ability, so read as such.
