    Default Arnor thing (spoilers)

Have read in another thread, you need Annuminas to be large city. That right? I haven't even got it to minor city yet, and it seems likely I'll have kicked the crap out of my enemies long before I get to large city.

Anything I can do to speed it up, besides low tax, good general in there and build all improvements I can?

    thx

    Yeah.
[~]add_population (settlement name{seperate two compounds by '_'}|Most probably you have to rename Annuminas due to umlaut|) -random number-.

If you just want to expirience awesomeness of Arnor before wiping all your enemies, the usage of this blapshemous resource is sanctioned.

    "add_population Lake_Evendim 2000"

2000 is a variable, you can use whatever number you need.

Maximum number is 4000 though, but you can do multiple raises of 4K.

If you play super aggressively this just isn't an option. You can wipe out all your surrounding enemies before you even get close to being able to build the House of Kings, so unless you want Arnor's inaugural task to be going after Rohan or the Dwarves, you pretty much have to cheat.

My biggest prblem is, that Aragorn is very likely to die long before Annúminas will be big enough. Turn 67 and Annúminas only has about 3000 inhabitants.

Build farms, lower taxes and put a super-chivalrous general in the city, (or one with anti-squalor and population boost traits).
These are the three "tricks" to population growth.

+Rep for anyone who can translate! (The above)

    Town halls kill squalor.

It's kind of great how the "super chivalrous general" would be Aragorn. So either get Arnor or die fighting dreaded generals.

Good thing OoG have crappy generals.

Send the cosen general between the surrounding cities early while you are building stuff in them. If the general is inside the city when a construction is completed (he do not have to be there when you start or during construction) he get good trait's

Taxes have to be high or very high or else it might backfire.
