    Default Military ancillaries

Sorry to post this again but my previous plea went unanswered. I need a list of all military ancillaries available to both east and west, cities where i can obtain em, and general's stars and traits needed. Recently 2 of my generals in the east received cool ones i never saw before, that of Euphatensis region i believe and that of Syria. Unfortunately both died, one in autocalc battle (my laziness) and one of disease and since then i havent been able to obtain these ancilleries no matter what new general i send. Also, would like to know if there is any way to regain loyalty points for generals. I have few quiet young ones with huge battle experience but due to their extensive battle history they lost all their loyalty points and now im afraid they will rebel so i have no choice but to house em as governorns in some flea ridden cities.

TW-fanboy made an office guide for RR a little while back - so if you ask him nicely, maybe he'll do one for SAI as well?

Another thing you can do yourself, if you remember the name of the ancillary office, is to go to the modfolder, data/text/ancillaries.txt, check out what its real name is and then go to the EDA, data/export_descr_ancillaries.txt, and look up its triggers.

Thanks Joar i will look it up in the modfolder. I was pretty sure i saw a list or similar post on ancillaries within SAJ forum. My mind must be playing tricks on me then. Any help with the loyalty part?????

Gaining a military and administrative ancillary depends on what it is and where it is. Most titles are now region based (this was to prevent a person in Antioch gaining the Dux Britainnae, for example), so you will also have to own that particular territory. Again, for example, if you don;t own Britian then you will not be able to gain any titles belonging to that region. Also a general will need to have gained certain trats such as loyalty, management, being a good infantry or cavalry commander etc, etc.

When I have time, I will make an ancillaries list.

i love the historical rol with the military titles and ancilliares, give great realism and inmersion to the campaign.

Yes JH, i remember u fixing that bug where general in Antioch roamed as a dux britainnae, but i never knew 2 new military titles existed in the east (euphatensis and syria) so thats y i was asking for the list to see if there were more hidden somewhere. Anyway i will follow Joars advice and look them up myself in the files. Is there any chance from preventing good general's rebelling after they lose all their loyalty rings?

Good idea. You will need to check the export_descr_character_traits.txt file triggers as nearly all of the roman administrative and military titles are triggered via that file. For example the Dux Syriae et Eufratensis Syriae trigger looks like this:

    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger trigger_office_dux_syriae_et_eufratensis_syriae_1a
    WhenToTest CharacterTurnEnd
    Condition FactionType empire_west
    and EndedInSettlement
    and SettlementName Callinicum
    and RemainingMPPercentage = 100
    and I_SettlementOwner Callinicum = empire_west
    and SettlementBuildingExists >= governors_palace
    and IsGeneral
    and not IsFactionLeader
    and not IsFactionHeir
    and Attribute Command > 0
    and Attribute Loyalty > 0

    Affects Dux_Syriae_et_Eufratensis_Syriae 1 Chance 100
    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger trigger_office_dux_syriae_et_eufratensis_syriae_1b
    WhenToTest CharacterTurnEnd
    Condition FactionType empire_west
    and EndedInSettlement
    and SettlementName Carrhae
    and RemainingMPPercentage = 100
    and I_SettlementOwner Carrhae = empire_west
    and SettlementBuildingExists >= governors_palace
    and IsGeneral
    and not IsFactionLeader
    and not IsFactionHeir
    and Attribute Command > 0
    and Attribute Loyalty > 0

    Affects Dux_Syriae_et_Eufratensis_Syriae 1 Chance 100

So you see he must have a command and loyalty attribute of at least 1 and the faction must be in possesion of either one of these towns (Carrhae or Callinicum).

I suppose I could've included Antioch but I don't want to make it too easy to require titles. Obviously when a title is of greater importance then the attributes required will be more as well.

    Hope this helps.

I see now y i was able to get some titles and miss the other ones. Main requirement for military titles is "SettlementBuildingExists >= governors_palace"
