    Default Hawkins' Greatcoats Mod, getting soldiers out of the cold.

    NOTE THIS IS NOT A HISTORICALLY ACCURATE MOD.

    This mod gives the main Prussian and Russian soldiers greatcoats. It seemed to me that they needed the coats since it is cold where they mainly operate.

    Installation
    Place the Hawkins_great_coats.pack in your NTW data folder. Then in your user script file place this "mod Hawkins_great_coats.pack;" (no quotes).

    Units with the coats.
    Prussian
    Musketeers
    Grenadiers
    Fusiliers
    Foot Guards
    Heavy Dragoons
    General's Staff
    General Blucher's Staff and General Blucher now wears a hat.
    All Artillery

    Russian
    Musketeers
    Moscow Musketeers
    Grenadiers
    Heavy Dragoons
    [More with next version]

    hey mate the nanny contacted me and told me about ure mod i ll be making the screenshots and the promovideo for u i d appreciate if u d send me a pm in that u tell me those things about ure mod u want to be mentioned in the promo and maybe also what atmosphere u were thinking of and if u got a music wish also that thx

    very nice would i perhaps have youre premission to use this mod in my multiplayer pack? these coats will look awsome together with my shako =)

    Hawkins i love youre greatcoats so i had use some of youre greatcoats in my multiplayer pack now u will ofc get full Credit thank you
    ps i only used the German_Militia_Coat did not inplement youre pack into the pack

    hello, I use your mod, it's a great one ! Do you plan to do all the units with greatcoats? and what about england and austria. Perhaps polish troops too...

    This is great, but it conflicts with the "new prussian shakos" mod.

    You know what would be totally fantastic ? If you two guys- the person who made the shakos mod and yourself, joined forces and made some kinda awesome compilation or something. (between you and me though, I favor this mod over his.... because the coats just add something that was missing in the prussians before, hard to explain, dont tell anybody ! )

    I don't think GB should have greatcoats tbh just would look weird somehow. Sweet mod btw use it together with All In One ^_^ works great.

    Nope, NCOs and Privates had grey ones with Regimental facings and officers just grey.

    Well guys I can't do anything until I get a new hard drive which will be two weeks. Your ideas are welcomed and I shall think about what to do next once I get up and running again. I'm using my iPod right now

    Blucher's hat doesn't fit. It's a very good mod though, even if my units are wearing the coats in Summer, haha!

    Hmmm,.. nice, but I have a few remarks:

    1. Most Russian and Prussian units in NTW wear their greatcoats rolled up over the shoulder. Judging by the screenshots, you have retained those rolled up coats, so now most soldiers are actually wearing two greatcoats: one on their body and a spair one over their shoulder.

    2. If you're gonna wear a greatcoat because the weather is so harsh, you're most likely gonna put a cover over your fancy shako as well.

    3. Greatcoats differed from country to country. French greatcoats were relatively tight fitting (like modern full length overcoats) whilst Prussian greatcoats were much more flaring at the bottom, which is why Prussian greatcoats could be rolled over the shoulder while French greatcoats had to be rolled up and carried on the back. This would hardly be visible ingame. However, Russian greatcoats differed by being a fair bit longer. While French and Prussian greatcoats extended to just below the knee, Russian greatcoats extender further to the ankles. Again judging by the screenshots the Russian greatcoats are definitely too short.
