Help?

I've got an issue. I installed DLV fine ((BB too.)) but, anyway, whenever I try to run the .bat file to launch the program, it simply opens to the initial loading screen ((the..two knights on horses trying to 0wn each other.)). Then vanishes, out of nowhere, and exits the batch shell. No error code, etc.

What's odd is the first time I tried to access the game it worked up until the third time I tried to read a faction's description on the faction selection menu. It had crashed and I had read about that being some sort of an error, can't recall now. But, now, it won't even go that far.

have you installed DLV + BB in this order:
.DLV 6.0
.DLV 6.2 patch
.BB2.8
.BB2.89 update

and the faction selection ctd is fixed in BB, it may mean you haven't installed BB correctly

I missed the third step. I went in this process:
.DLV 6.0
.DLV 6.2 update
.BB2.89

I am 12 and wat is this. Idiotic move on my part.

New error..

As it turns out - I didn't have nearly enough ram on my C: partition so when I started playing it blue screen'd after a while citing memory management as an error. So, I removed a few things from my computer, cleared up some space, and everything's fine now. Well, went back to start DLV and this time, the batch shell flashed literally instantaneously and then the very second it appeared, it vanished. Didn't even try to start the program itself this time.

After clicking it repeatedly to try to make out any error identifiable in the shell message, I noticed "not recognized as a batch file" or something along those lines. I've re-installed twice, including deleting the entire folder both times.

No dice.

Any idea?

why are you running a batch file to launch the game?

Because..that's what the mod launches with? I'm pretty sure. Just like UAI, etc. Even if I click the desktop icon, etc. it uses a batch shell to launch the game's actual core files.

Can you run Kingdoms on it's own?

Since you had to reinstall things a couple times, try to isolate your problem. Confirm Kingdoms works on its own. Install DLV and make sure it runs. If not look here for some solutions

If DLV is good and you are patched to 6.2 and that works, then proceed with BB 2.8 and confirm correct install. Then the latest update for BB.
