    Default Stainless Steel Worthy Music

As title says, I'd like to gather different songs/chants from you guys that set the mood for this mod and game because after a while, the SS soundtrack gets boring(not hating on the mod, just a personal opinion regarding the ingame music).

So use this thread to post badass songs to listen to before, during or after a massive SS battle. You know, stuff of great epicness, like this, this or this.
Fear is the mother of defeat.
Tranquility is courage in repose. Courage is confidence in action.

I usually play without music because I watch some movies on second monitor during AI turns, but if I listen something it's usually Berserk or Demons' Souls OST, or E Nomine (play HRE or TO and listen this during cavalry charge ), or Ben Hur OST, sometimes it's OST for old Warhammer Chaos Gate.
Actually I can listen almost anything playing TW, even Klaus Doldinger's music for Das Boot

6.1 and 6.2 just had the normal M2TW & Kingdoms music. It's still there but a lot more music has been added in too.

The battle music reminds me of Final Fantasy. It's not a bad thing just putting it out there.
    Got nothing...

The best track is no doubt the Gael (Doughie McLean).
    The Enemy of Human Souls
    Sat grieving at the cost of coals;
For Hell had been annexed of late,
And was a sovereign Southern State.

I had been looking for the name of this song for AGES. I had heard it a million times, but had never discerned the name.

Attention SS modders and players, i thought some of you might like these tracks and similars for replacing vanilla MIITW battle tracks.

Actually I disable music from the game and run it on media player... I listen to civ 4, rtw, rtr, eb and a few m2tw soundtracks... but I lack some battle music. I would incorporate them into the game but I'm feeling lazy to mod the file..
Cassius: "Our men at arms have secured the city. We've received representatives from all the best elements. The senate is with us, the knights are with us."
Brutus:"The pontifs, the urban cohorts, the lictors guild..."
Antony: "Oh, the lictors guild, very good. Only rally the bakers and the flute players and you can put on a festival."

I usually listen to my own music, it just sounds boring without the aggressiveness, tempo and vocals while playing.

Agreed... Some songs from Civ4 would be awesome to be in M2TW

Most songs cannot be incorporated into SS, as they're under copyright.
That probably includes all music in Civilization
Personally I disable the in-game music and listen to my own ~2200 songs. Currently listening to Dream Theater - A Nightmare to Remember (awesome song)

But since SS is not being sold for a profit, why would this be a problem? I'm not arguing with you, I just don't understand.

Because it's still providing a free copy of a work that is covered by copyright.

Progressive metal is nice, I prefer Swedish melodic death metal.

And when it comes to Swedish melodic death metal, At the Gates is my favorite staple and standard. And Newt is correct: Pig Destroyer is brutal. I've seen them live in Baltimore. What a ****ing pit they had on the main floor!

I share the same sentiment about some of the realtime battle music, although the campaign map music is beautifully done and quite professional (I always have that excellent acoustic guitar version of "We Three Kings" stuck in my head after playing the game!).

Some may disagree, but I would prefer just having Jeff Van Dyck's vanilla MTW II and Kingdoms music for the realtime battles. He is an excellent composer, no Hans Zimmer or Danny Elfman or anything, but he's certainly a pro. Some of the new Stainless Steel realtime battle music just falls incredibly flat, like elevator music. No offense to the guy(s)/gal(s)/ who composed it. I always speed up the game just to start a different song, though!
