Yep. Another great faction. Still don't know who to play as in campaign. I will probably look at the armies in single player first. I am thinking about Takeda if they are available. My guess is they will. Good to see CA are starting to announe loads of things.

Meh. It gets few replies, its only for looking for confirmed new intel. Besides, let the Uesugi have its own thread for people to discuss, in fact, the Date has two.

Now, it seems the Uesugi has taken the role of STW-Mori-Clan, aka heavy on the Sohei instead of the archers back in STW. So where does the Mori thrive TWS2? Maybe naval, since they are prominent in the Battles of Kizugawaguchi.

I really like these clan previews. I know almost nothing of Japanese history from that era and these little previews make much easier for me choose which clan to play.

And there is talk about resources, wood and stone, so will there really be resources in the actual game itself? I remember reading something about food recourse.

Probably like the plantations of ETW. You can exploit them to make money but I doubt units or buildings will require resources other than money.

Resources will also likely give you some bonus. Castles will probably be cheaper if you have stone, and it's been confirmed that you will need horses to recruit some of the higher level cavalry units.

Announcement is really cool!

1.It doesn't make sense actually, how could a clan be so Buddhist Devote (Buddhist...the religion who strives to not hurt a single living being) and have so much war with the other clans including the Takeda. Also how can Kenshin combine Buddhism with the wargod Bishamonten, they are opposites?! This is not towards CA, but towards history actually, anyone know the answer to this?

2. Also has the name of Nobutora Takeda been confirmed to become Shingen Takeda as well?

Thanks mate! Very informative, red the Wiki article and it cleared up alot.

But I didn't find the part of Kenshin combining the Peacefulness of Buddhism and the Wargod Bishamonten as special situation and got away with it?

Ahh the Uesugi my second favorite clan from the original.
Its been a long time since Ive played Shogun, but didnt the Uesugi get cheaper archers last time?
It was the Mori who were the religious ones.

Yeah Uesugi had cheap archers and started out with a bunch of them too. The Mori got the cheap warrior monks. Kinda disappointing to me since the Mori was one of my favorites because of that, but maybe now I will like the Uesugi.

Since when are the Uesugi the religious ones? Odd choice for a faction specialisation.
And now they switched, the Date instead of the Shimazu have the No Dachi...
