RTW v1.3 CTDs in 119 BC

I'm running unmodded RTW v1.3 video drivers upto date and no previous problems with the game, and no system changes. In fact its always run really well.
The problem is at the end of my campaign (imperial / julii) turn in 120BC the game craches to desktop.
Its my first campaign so can anyone tell me if there is any kind of special event that might occur around 119BC to cause this ?
I've tried playing back a few years and moved armies around a little but it still crashes at the same year. Anyone know of any othe kind of events that sometimes cause crashes ?

Sometimes RTW just crashes, had it happen to me for no apparent reason. I can't think of any event which happens around that year.

thanks L. I've been playing that campaign for months too. Seems little oint in starting another , if this is going to happen again.
