Today I just installed 6.4 after seeing that it had been completed, over top of 6.3 of course, and now I am having issues of trying to get the game actually running. I looked in the steam thread when I first began using 6.3, and had my issue solved quite easily with the :
1- In the m2tw folder you should see 3 exes. "medieval2.exe", "kingdoms.exe" and "launcher.exe" (should be steam/steamapps/common/medieval ii total war/)
2- Create a folder called "backup" and place the "launcher.exe" in that
3- Rename the "kingdoms.exe" to "launcher.exe"
4- now go to your "Steam Games" list and right click kingdoms, select "properties" and then "set launch options"
5- In the box that appears paste @mods\SS6.3\default.cfg
6-Now save that and go back to your games list, click on kingdoms then launch, it should bypass the launcher and take you straight to the mod.
solution. Ever since then I had no issues of running 6.3. However after just installing 6.4, this solution no longer works as anytime I try to run it, from both the launcher, and through steam I get the "Unable to locate Kingdoms.exe in your m2tw folder. Is Kingdoms.exe in your folder?
I then attempted to use the other two fixes in the fix thread, but still nada. Can anyone help me on this? I haven't seen a single thread about 6.4-steam compatibility yet, so I thought I would make the first one. Thanks for your help!
P.S. As of now I still have my launcher in the backup folder and the kingdoms renamed to launcher, should I switch them back?
