For those with ctds.
I am playing with the RS textures and environment + Megamod. With RS Textures isntalled first. There is a thread on the totalwarforum on multicore cpu and how to reduce after battle ctd.
It comes down to setting affinity to 1 core.
Using the standard method of waiting till the music stops and with Vegetation detail set to medium i havent got a ctd so far.
Actually I've found setting affinity to 1 cpu to cause more ctd's than without. I've yet to get a ctd after around 50-60 battles so far, but I do wait till after the music too.
I can confirm that this is a stable multi-mod. More stable than EAEM.

So I read that if you install RS2 Texture pack first then the megamod it should work. Does that mean if I already have the megamod installed I can just use it's built in uninstaller, install RS2 textures, then reinstall mega mod over the top.
Just trying to understand the way your mod is extracted here. Didn't know if your uninstaller was just for looks or it was actually useable.
EDIT: Tried it, it doesn't work, constant CTD's.
Luckily I had a backup! lol
Actually i don't believe that the problems are caused by the rs2 textures.I've been playing with the mini mod pack for a long time and i didn't have many ctd's.I had far more ctd's with this mod.
Your work is excellent but it is a bit buggy
+rep of course
and should we wait for some kind of fixes?
Those are RS 1.6 textures. Mine are RSII.
I believe the water textures are the problem, since when you look at north africa you are more likely to see more water.
Easy fix:
Replace the mod's /EB/Data/packs/Mod1.pak (the sole pack there, IIRC that's the name) with the original EB Mod1.pak.

in the alexander one does it includes the battlefield vegetation of RSI or RSII?
thank you
lol were are the links to download this submod?
ups never mind =)
Hello,
Great work, really wnat to play some Rome again with your pack.
After the clean install procedure for mods and then installing your Mega mod i am afec with 2 problems:
1) The shortcut isnt changed and i have to manually add -show_err -mod:eb to the Alex.exe. is this normal?
2) When trying to start a campaign i get the dreaded error message of any modder: "Please select item from list" which usually means trouble. This is not a map.rw problem - deleting it solves nothing - and also one that i encounted alot when installing other submods. Any clue? :/
Thanks!
edit: forgot to add -noalexander to the path... silly me. works now!

Is there something like this that makes parts of the BI engine work with EB? Because I haven't found any of the new formations and such that are in BI, like the shield wall and the warcries, though I'm not sure if those are even included in Alexander. I never played that expansion very much.
But what about the shieldwalls? That's the one I'm wondering about. I know that's in BI and possibly Alexander (given that the two expansion packs have similar gameplay changes), so shouldn't the Alexander version of this mod also include that? Unless Alex really doesn't have shieldwalls in it like BI does, that is.
Edit: Never mind, it seems Alexander doesn't include that in its features list. Could've sworn it was the other way around, though.

I've seen some people have managed to get this working with Steam + Alexander, so...
How, exactly? Unlike some other games I can't launch Rome/Alex/EB from a non-Steam Shortcut, it just gives me a "Failed to find Steam" error. So I can't use the "Europa Barbarorum (Jirisys' RTW - Alexander - EB Mega Mod Pack)" shortcut.
And configuring launch options through Steam seems doomed to fail since I can never point them to alex.exe in the RTW folder.
I've got a small question. How bug-free is this mod? Do I have chance of finishing a campaign, or is that impossible at this point? I do really like the looks of this mod....
