Next release for the historical battles series is coming soon...Battle of Aspern Essling.
Aspern-Essling, one of my personal favourite battles, containing so much action, and interesting stories on and after the battlefield.
Formally known as 'Marshal Beale' - The Creator the Napoleon TW mods - 'Napoleon Order of War' and 'Revolution Order of War'
Some screenshots from new map. Aspern, Essling with the granary, the Marschfeld, the Ditch linking Aspern to Essling and finally the bridges over the Danube dead arm.

Map looks very nice
Is there a chance we are going to see the island of Lobau, and the towns of Aspern to the west and Essling to the right.

This time Jean Lannes will keep his legs.
Great work as usual.
The TW game become so interesting with your work.
when it's done is there any chance you can post the stats of the units for us,the historical battles are great but its a bit hard to know what to use some times as you cant check the stats of most units.
In reality there were no stats!
Yes, a scenario tutorial is really wanted. I plan to make each battle with its own briefing on the NTW3 launcher, where you can see the OOB with unit stats. Not an easy task though. On a general note austrian and prussian have a slower speed and morale to portray their historical counterpart. Usually line battalions cannot form square because they used to rely on musket fire coupled with regimental cannons.
The key for austrian/prussian success is thus to maximise fire, while the french will try to counteract with mobility and better accuracy. Sometimes you see unit with chevron, this means they are better unit with +1 to morale and melee and defence, +2 to accuracy. 2 chevrons means double bonus.
This is not an absolute bonus, but relative only to that type. You can then have old guard with a chevron and without, hussars with chevron and without and so on.
Thanks mate sounds great. Also it would be good to get more info across the board like in the info screens for scenarios, and because LOS and fatigue are so important can you also put there stats into unit description when you come around to them. Thanks again you guys are doing a great job.
