If/when my foreign-born faction leader dies will my old family tree come back? In fact, does it even matter? My original Byzantine Emperor had 1 son and 1 daughter. The son, who became faction leader when the Emperor died, had 2 daughters and a son of his own. The Prince's oldest daughter disrgraced us when she she deserted to the powerful Hungarians, thereby downsizing an already small family. The plan was to gain a general and weaken Hungary, who has gobbled up everything from Constantinople to Kassa...we've been allies, but there was a near war over who should get what. I won the posturing but lost to the rebels. Anyway, the Emperor got himself killed so the Prince became Emperor before his son came of age...the original Emperor's one adopted son had long since deserted so the new Prince was the original Emperor's daugher's foreign husband, Gerardo Zianni...of course Zianni has since become Emperor and now my family tree is gone...does this mean I have no family tree until Zianni's squire "forgets" to properly strap on his armor next time we go to battle?
