    Hello, I'm trying to adopt my mod in progress to 6.4 but I seem to be running into problems

    I fixed all the problems that system.log showed but it still CTDs on start...

    the log (btw is the 6.4 log suppose to be so short?) doesn't say anything except...

    Fresh 6.4 install, no submods.

    The triggers for the horsebreeder's guild in castles seems to be off. All levels of stables increase the chance of a woodsman's guild being offered, not a horsebreeder's. I assume this is unintentional.

    NVM, My army is ambushing a hungarian army while i'm sieging cairo on a crusade and the hungarians are coming to help, and if I retreat my army deserts me.

    Hello,

    I'm having some problems with taskbar of windows set on other point than down. If for example taskbar is on the left, the game GUI will glitch making it practically impossible to play. Moving taskbar to default position fixes the problem but Im not really fond of that doing it all the time. Experimenting with disabling desktop compsition, themes etc. didnt have effect.

    Thanks for spotting that, that was unintentional (even the trigger's names say horsebreeder, but swordsmith or woodsmen is buffed instead... )

    RW - had the same problem when I first replaced the SS6.4 .cfg file with my own.

    Then it switched on again.

    If you want a mega .cfg file that gives lots of logging detail, multiplayer / hotseat etc you can try this:

    Yes, 1920x1200 in all. Forgot to mention Im using win7 64bit. I remember having the same problem with 6.3 but not with versions previous to that.

    you can edit default.cfg to this for a workaround:

    autoBorderlessMode=false
    and
    windowed=false
    That doesn't really solve WHY it's doing that though.

    No one's insulting you.
    I can attest to the fact that close to all reports on this forum are due to user error. Therefore that's usually what we'll first assume unless we already know the poster.
    Now, here's something that definitely is user-error:
    You haven't provided your log, and you haven't provided a screenshot.

    gah fresh install of 6.4 over 6.3 STEAM VERSION of medievel 2 total war win 7 64 bits.
    gah again CTD wen tryed to load my saved campaign with fatimid, o well i thought.
    Was gona start a new one and when i click the button Start in the faction choosing screen, it just sended me to the screen with "early era campaign","custom battle", historic battle" blah blah
    =/,
    btw love this mode.

    Might be uac problems. I know reinstalling medieval over steam is a pain, so can you try and disable UAC (check the release post), and then install 6.4 to for example c:\bla and manually copy the files over to your miedieval2\mods\ss6.3 folder?
    This should help.

    I also find it odd that despite it stating that there "movies=false" that I still have the clips for my agent's missions.

    Also if it helps any, I use steam so I had to do the old 'rename a kingdoms mod to backup and then SS to that campaign' work around. Would this affect anything? Despite my best efforts it still shows no date available on my HUD, not a game breaker, but it is quite aggravating.
