Hey, i've been trying to get fourth age total war new shadow for a a long time now. My comp used to be pretty messed up so i blamed it on that, but now its fixed, i have the 1.6 patch of BI, but was soon as i click "run" for the basic 2.0, it says its not a valid Win32 application. I'm dying to finally get this working, please help!

Re: Not a valid Win32 application?
If your system doesn't recognise the .exe, try the .rar version
You can get the 2.6 Full version of the mod here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=365719

Re: Not a valid Win32 application?
I tried downloading a different version, and all went well till i tried opening the shortcut. The screen goes black for a few seconds then minimizes and wont let me restore the screen. I can see flashes of the of the background. Dear god i am so close please tell me this is an easy fix! After the dos window closed, a screen popped up that said i might have not installed correctly, im not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.

Re: Not a valid Win32 application?
The .rar version has no installer and no dos window, so I'm not sure that was what you downloaded.
Do try the rar version and let me know how it goes.

Re: Not a valid Win32 application?
alright, i got the rar version but it wont let me extract it to my tw folder and i dont know how else to attach it to bi. also, i deleted my old ci folder to remove any conflict with the new rar, but my bi icon is acting the same way the new age icon was acting, (going black then minimizing) even after i removed then reinstalled it. sorry about the slew of problems, i really appreciate your help.

Re: Not a valid Win32 application?
Just extract the .rar in a folder on your desktop, and then cut the "bi" folder and paste it in your RTW directory and select 'yes' to overwrite.
.rar version doesn't come with a shortcut, you'll need to make a new one yourself, following the directions in the thread I linked to above.

Re: Not a valid Win32 application?
That is a .dll of the sound provider, I think, so if it's missing your RTW shouldn't be working either.
Reinstalling or repairing your RTW installation is a good idea.
