Movie editor- some help with using

hey there,

been wanting to make movie editor work for a while now, but I can never get it to do so. When I follow the first instructions:

To enable the Movie Editor you must run the game with the command line option '-movie_cam'. Create a shortcut to your Rome_TW.exe, go to the shortcuts properties and add '-movie_cam' to the end of the target (without the quotes).

it just says the target box is not valid make sure the file name is valid etc..

what do I need to get this to work? Have i got to move specifc files in certain areas.

Oh and I'm using RTR 6.2 atm, but its based on vanilla 1.2 patch so it should still work right?

make sure u put a space between the end of the original target and -movie_cam

should be

"blahblahblah -movie_cam"

not sure theres supposed to be any spaces in Rome-TotalWar but not sure

thanks again Slimshoom for helping me get it up and running.

Made a few clips and converted to mpeg already. But I keep coming accross the same problem. Best way to explain is to tell y'all about what I did a sec ago:

so, I want to get a good shot of an entire roman army advancing. So I press 'space', to stop the movement (I have already speeded past all the deploying and early movement, so about 20 seconds in, and they are already running). Then pressing 'insert' and getting my first keyframe, i press enter to play it a bit forward ( about 1 sec), then 'space' to stop it. Then after moving about a bit as to get good running shots etc, I press 'insert' for the last time, then save it with 's'.

Now I begin to render it. I get 20 seconds of my camera moving about, with the romans standing there, occasionally cheering or shield bashing, in the last 3 seconds, I see the begin to run a little bit, then the rendering ends. AND i have read the manual

Any tips to get success?
