Multiplayer Co-Op Campaign?

Hey all, i've been playin multiplayer campaign abit with a friend and i cant understand why we can only fight against the AI some of the time. It seems completely random and we are always both involved in the fight and we can only autoresolve, although most of the time it lets us fight on the battle map. Not sure if it was meant to be played like this but is much more fun

its all in the pre match settings dude. Make sure its set to play as ai and fight battles. This way if either one of you wants to fight a battle u gotta fight it. If u set it to auto prematch then u will ony fight if u both choose to fight the battle during the game
