Default Searching for an open domain name.

I'm looking for an open domain name for a project and rather than type in each possible variation to see what is correct are there any domain searches out that that will allow to you see whats taken in bulk so you can see the holes?

Like searching for say *tech.com where every * before tech is listed?

I don't think this kind of enumeration of domain names is possible, no. But you shouldn't have to try that many domain names before you find one that's open. Just be creative; you're not going to get a short and memorable .com name.

Have a look at this Phier..

    ICANN rulez...
To be governed is to be watched, inspected, directed, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, and commanded, by creatures who have neither the right, wisdom, nor virtue to do so. To be governed is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, taxed, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, admonished, reformed, corrected, and punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be placed under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted, and robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, abused, disarmed, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, and betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, and dishonored. -Pierre-Joseph Proudhon
