Default Civilian population in castles / Cities during sieges

Or not? I mean with the massive upgrade and huge graphical capability, it wouldn't be impossible... but we'd have seen the feature by now if it was included right, I don't mean thousands but maybe a few inside buildings (Buildings could be captured or sacked / destroyed by choice of the besieger if he was inside for example)

Also let's say that most of the civilians (Standard peasants) would run away from the Castle/City but 1 or 2 units would always stay and you can use them to fight as peasants (varying numbers in a unit) or all of them just run away - The besieger can kill the peasants in settlement if they want

I mean why not, add another aspect to sieges / siege battles, adds realism and a more grandiose effect, combine that with hundreds, thousands of invading troops against equal numbers of defending ones - buildings sacked / on fire, all in S2TW graphics. It would look stunning

well in Napoleon you had garrison. So any none military forces would either leave the castle or city and those none military forces that wanted to stay would become garrison peasant militia if you like.

I agree, having Peasants as reinforcements during defensive siege battles would be a nice touch, especially in large cities.

Meaning that no settlement would ever be completely unoccupied.
