    Default increasing unit speed

    Hello!

Is there a way to increase the speed of infantry units in 6.3?
I preciesly want to speed up the movement of late era heavy infantry units and the firing speed of arquebuisers.

You have to play with the EDU (export_descr_unit) file in the data of the mod. Do you know how to do these changes?

So, you choose one unit and you add the underlined line under the attributes (in blue), the red number is what you change for the speed, the higher the number, the faster it goes

    type Highland Pikemen
    dictionary Highland_Pikemen ; Highland Pikemen, l
    category infantry
    class spearmen
    voice_type Light
    banner faction main_spear
    banner holy crusade
    soldier Highland_Pikemen, 80, 0, 1.125
    officer northern_captain
    mount_effect horse +4, camel +4
    attributes sea_faring, hide_forest, can_withdraw, hardy, pike, start_phalanxing, mercenary_unit, free_upkeep_unit
    ]move_speed_mod 0.70
    formation 1.2, 1.2, 1.2, 1.2, 10, square, phalanx ; formation 1.25, 0, 2.0, 2.0, 8, square, phalanx
    stat_health 1, 1
    stat_pri 3, 3, no, 0, 0, melee, melee_blade, piercing, spear, 90, 1
    stat_pri_attr spear, long_pike
    stat_sec 0, 0, no, 0, 0, no, melee_simple, blunt, none, 0, 1
    stat_sec_attr no
    stat_pri_armour 1, 1, 0, flesh ; slung shield
    stat_sec_armour 0, 0, flesh
    stat_heat 5
    stat_ground 0, -1, 1, 2
    stat_mental 11, impetuous, trained
    stat_charge_dist 10
    stat_fire_delay 0
    stat_food 60, 300
    stat_cost 1, 505, 300, 85, 65, 505, 4, 50
    armour_ug_levels 0, 1
    armour_ug_models Highland_Pikemen, Highland_Pikemen_ug1
    ownership all; scotland
    era 1 scotland
    era 2 scotland
    recruit_priority_offset 0

That is probably how it works, I don't think I've made a mistake to explain.

Hi! I much likely want to change all unit movement speed as they are in vannilla M2TW. I was thinking that its possible just to copy and paste some descr_unit file from vannila directory to the SS 6.3 directory.
Anyway thx for the reply and im gonna check it out.

You could but the game won't start because there will be some units missing.

Put ; before any infantry that has that line like this

    ;move_speed_mod
All infantry will now move at 'normal' speed
