Site of famous battle question

Hello fellow players and admirers of this great mod!

I started up my campaign today and all my sites of famous battles won by now deceased generals have disappeared. What caused this and can anything be done about it?

I'm not too sure, but I've read here and there that there's a limit in markers, about 50 I believe. but maybe that was only in RTW.

Maybe the regions that had the markers were conquered by other factions?
otherwise, this could be an SS bug. what version are you playing?

Version 6.2. The regions have not changed hands since the victories were achieved. Also I don't think there were 50 already, I may have had two dozen, and I only saw a handful of victories by the AI, maybe three or so.

As in loaded your old save or started a new one?

There is a limit for crossed swords icons and they get replaced when another better(stats) heroic battle takes place at some point else. If your battle markers are getting replaced then you have reached the max limit and if so then do count them all in your map and tell us i always wanted to know what's the max value of them it's definitely not 50 i know round 20 maybe.
