Trouble playing the mod

Hi, I have trouble playing this mod. I havent really followed the instructions and tried to modfolder the mod like other mods, so i basicaly copied the rome data file and alexander data file and then pasted the lotr mod on this. This worked with a BI mod which wasnt supposed to be mod foldered, but it doesnt work.

Do you have a way to force modfolder correctly?
Or alternatively could you tell me the right way the install this mod?

why you didn't use the installer?

Sure i did, but i usualy install it in some random place then install it by hand.

the mod -is- modfoldered

lotr-tw folder has to be inside alexander folder

Just use the installer and you will be fine.
just browse it to your main RTW file and the Mod is modfoldered so it will find his own way.

Ok did it the right way this time. But i get an error now:

script error in alexander\lotrtw/data/descr_settlement_plan.txt, at line 2660, column 19.

File data/settlemennt_plans/slot_underlays/underlay_plaza_gon_32x32m.cas does not exist

I just ran the installer as was supposed to be, meaning the mod files were installed in Rome - Total War\alexander\
Thats where it is supposed to be as I understood. Installed 2.0 and then 2.08c in the same place.

When you run the installer you have to select the main rometw folder, where the .exe is placed.

Exactly what i did and the mod was properly installed in RTW\alexander\

You installed the mod in your RTW folder where it is installed Alexander Total war right? and you have 2.0 and 2.08c installed?

There are some files related to buildings and vegetation that are copied into main data folder, but they do not overwrite vanilla files.
You error sems related to those files.

You gotta select the Main Rome Total War folder (C:\RTW\), and 2.0 must have been installed in C:\RTW\ , and so as Alexander Total War, not in RTW\alexander\, but RTW\

1: Install Rome Total War to RTW\
2: install Alexander Total War to RTW\
3: Install patch 2.0 to RTW\
4:Install Patch 2.08c to RTW\
5: execute the exe on the desktop

But the lotrtw folder will be on RTW\alexander
The installer sends some files to RTW\ .. and the lotrtw folder to RTW\alexander
You cant just send the lotrtw folder to RTW\alexander because those files that should be on RTW\ wont be there, so just run the exe, and the mod IS modfoldered

I see what files should be in the RTW folder then, since apparent it is whats giving problems.
