Animations look fine to me, what we saw of the A.I. so far was scripted so I really can't comment on how good it is, blood isn't a concern for me and can be modded and as for battles being boring I can only speak for myself when I say that battles haven't been "fun" since Rome.

Again I'm only speaking for myself but ever since they introduced those flashy melee animations battles became very "showy" and lost that special something that makes battles in Rome with its limited animations feel badass.

I think it has something to do with the way soldiers behave, in Rome they don't look that realistic and move kinda stiffly and I can accept that.

Medieval 2, Empire and Napoleon have pretty realistic graphics with nicely detailed soldiers that behave like robots and wave their weapons around in silly looking melee that's a big turn off for me.

On the other hand I find the empire management part more enjoyable than before.

Why do people keep saying blood can be modded? No, it can't. Show me a blood mod for ANY TW game that adds blood to melee combat. There isn't one because its too hard for any modder to implement. Blood is not going to be in the game, and no modder is ever going to add it.

The only blood we might see is from projectiles.

Crimson Tide? Or is that simply modifying blood rather than adding it?

That won't work on the newer games I'm afraid, but you can add blood effects on bullet impact, that's enough for me.

Ai looked scripted so can't tell anyting from that. Anmations looked fine to me. We already know there is no blood that has been known and confirmed for weeks. So nothing to really moan about.

I don't think the second battle report was scripted and I don't think it really showed any thing with the AI, the guy played the game so badly it's not really possible to get a good feel on it (Unless you want to count the AI being confused by stupid players). Other videos that have been shown since the second battle report to me looked a lot better (One of the videos from the 4 new video's topic) I only watched it once but the battle looked more interesting and gave me a bit more hope for siege battles than the second battle report.

So, to you, having no blood makes a bad game?

I don't see what you mean by "bad animations".

Bad AI when we haven't seen any real gameplay, with keiran dude never showing what we want to see.

Boring as hell? Keiran didn't even use one bit of strategy, how could it look interesting. He fails.

Sieges as unevenas this one are a pain, sure, but to have a small and badly used garrison is your fault.

It took you this long to realize that? I mean battle report 2 has been out for ages...
Anyway I thought it looked good, but your great arguments completely changed my mind.

I don't get it, its like all the 15 year old twcenter users flood to this thread.

Game upon game has been whined upon immensely for left out mechanichs etc. Poor AI, poor pathing, poor multiplayer support, poor modability the list goes on.

The complaint threads were huge and now another CA games comes along and people are going ''LoL!!11! troll this game is going to be teh best shot op lol I know best'' while the facts tell a different tale.

These threads brings all the real trolls and idiots of twcenter.

Yes. I have to say that I agree with you. The second battle report was disappointingly dissapointing. I had really hoped that CA would pull through with Shogun 2, however, I cant help but feel the same as I did about Empire and Napoleon. CA seems to have no sense direction with the progression of the Total War series; they have lost their Mojo. I had originally planned to pre-order Shogun 2, but I will wait for more info and reviews...

crimson tide, im fairly sure roma surrectum features altered blood, although im fairly sure its not even that hard to mod but it is hard to mod to look good.

Actually it is hard to mod as I followed very closely the only person who attempted to make a blood mod for RTW and he eventually gave up because of the difficulty (constant crashes). The only blood mods alter textures, they don't add blood to melee combat.

So no, there isn't going to be blood in S2, and no no one is going to mod it in.
