I haven't noticed the recruitment (or disbanding) of units to impact a settlements population. Anyone else find this odd and/or is there a way to enable this?

Would be nice to have to manage your resources (i.e. stack spamming impacts your revenue and settlement growth, so you have to balance this). Otherwise it has too much of a Command & Conquer RTS flavor where you just build a base and pump out unlimited troops.

Because this feature doesn't exist in M2:TW

Right, CA took it out after Rome. Probably because people were abusing peasants.
Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

Havn't heard anything about it for some time, but this: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=413092 sounds interesting.

Thanks for pointing me to this, and to the others who responded as well!
