Editing descr_events

Hello all,

Just a quick question (I hope) - is it possible to edit descr_events mid-campaign? I'm currently playing through an Early Era campaign (with SS 6.1) and wanted to see if I could speed up when certain events occur - specifically Gunpowder & New Age, but it didn't seem to work (I worked out that the next event was the first Lateran Council so changed the date of the above two events to match). The Lateran Council happened as normal but the other two didn't.

As a test, I changed the two event dates to 1 and started a new campaign - I got Gunpowder and New Age immediately after Turn 1. This leads me to believe that any changes to descr_events won't take mid-campaign.

Is this true? Is there any way of changing the dates mid-campaign?

No. It's all wrapped up in the map.rwm and the savegame.

Well that sucks, but ok, thanks for the quick answer!

Guess I'll just start a new campaign.
