Imagine this:
You are assaulting an enemy city. The population of the city are unhappy, overtaxed and kept in line only by the dread of the evil governor and his army of brutal henchmen.
You army, however, is led by a general of good reputation.
As soon as the siege battle starts to swing in your favour, several bands of peasants, some armed with bows, and possibly even a few militia units, appear at the city square. They immediately rush to your aid, attacking the defending forces from behind, and eventually a mighty cheer heralds the liberation of the city from its oppressors.
Most of the parameters for this situation are already in the game - chivalry, dread, tax levels, unrest level, battle odds, etc. but I do not know if it is possible to run scripts during the battle, and to generate reinforcements dynamically on the fly?
If not, oh well, just throwing it out there for maybe inspiring someone to do something similar I hadn't thought of![]()
