Default Post your favorite campaign General

This is meant to be a fun thread. I'd like to see who your favorite generals are (from any version of CoW) and post their pic here and tell why he is your favorite (also state which faction they are from). If your favorite is dead, then you may just describe him.

    I'll go first:

    Hero Name: Lucas Cotrez

    Faction: Hochland

Reason: He was originally just another scripted army general aiding Kislev against Tzeentch invaders. Surprisingly, he was able to win the battle and I was allowed to keep him. From then on, he has been enforcing Hochlands rule using a combination of Hochland Handgunners, Archers, and a handful of Spearmen. He has fought 5 Chaos armies (3 Tzeentch, 1 Slaanesh, 1 Nurgle) and several Beastman armies (mainly aiding Middenheim against the heathens). He has recieved 2 Heroic Victories, one against Tzeentch, and the other against 2 Beastman armies. He has taken only one settlement, but that was of no challenge. He is now tasked to take Brass Keep, which I'm sure he will be able to do with no problem. He now boasts a command of 9 and is feared by his enemies and loved by his allies. He is also being accompanied by Richter Kreuger, an Undead Mercenary with a very diversified bodyguard. I have no doubt Cotrez will serve me for a long time and will never disappoint me or Sigmar.

    Skullbasha Eadsplitta.

At 5 years old he was:

    Sexually Deviant
    Promising Commander
Carrier of The Big Boss Club
    Had 5 Dread..

Having a 5 year old warlord who already was..experienced was nice. No need for the flowers and the bees with this kid, straight to the pudding dessert.

The idea of a sexually deviant ork makes me shudder.

My favourite ever commander was the Emperor Three gold chevrons, 10 stars and such. Can't take a look for more stats as he was lost to save game corruption. I shall renew him soon though, very soon.

    Arnold de Lannoy

He was the greatest of Averland generals:
He destroyed the two stacks of vampire rebels, took one Beastmen temple and Potting.
He was aiming for Nuln, taken by Beastmen, when a big army of Orcs come from the North sieged Averheim, that was garrisoned only with the Count and some units that suffered heavy casualties (30 halberders, 13 pikemen etc)

Arnold came back to Averheim and when the Orcs attacked the city he led the reinforcement army controlled by AI
He was the ONLY reinforcement unit that took part in melee and was killed by Greenskins

    Stupid AI

For me, it is Filep of the Vampire Counts, stationed with his army in the Blood Keep. It was with him that I brought Wissenland to its knees, exterminated the Orcs plagueing Averland (which was conquered shortly after by the combined might of Count Manfred's and Filep's armies) and finally slaughtered his way across half the Empire, conquered the Brass Keep and- well, then I downloaded 1.4.1, found out my saves didn't work anymore...still asking myself how to get Krell.

Ar-Ulric Kreistov, for me. He and his army single handedly defended Middenheim against a Waaagh, over the course of 32 turns. He had 10 Command, 7 Dread, 10 Piety, 9 Hit Points, 8 Morale, 40% Healing, and a bucket load of Gold Chevron Bodyguards.

The basis of the army was he, 4 Teutogen Guard on foot, 2 Knights of the White Wolf, and several other Middenheim State Troops. I actually managed to hire Ricco's Republican Guard, halfway through, and gradually replaced Spears with them, until the army was a mass of Silver Hammers and Gold Spears.

He won 8 Heroic Victories, and 23 Battles in Total, before being crushed under the hooves of the Orc Faction Leader and 3 other generals. However, he secured the victory at the cost of his own life, that of his bodyguards, the Teutogen Guard and most of the Knights, which enabled me the time to redeploy my Halberdiers and Republican Guard to secure the victory. However, to plug the gap, the Crossbows and the Handgunners had to take their place in the line against the Savage and Black Orcs. I ended up winning the battle wit 170 odd soldiers from 1500 against 3000 Orcs. However, the battle was won, and with the loss of the 4 Generals, the Waaagh was won.

Over the course of the Waaagh, I'm willing to say he killed the best part of 30,000 enemies, and more than a few personally, so I'm glad he went out in a fitting manner.

I've had better generals which last longer, and go on to conquer the map, but none have done so well so consistently.

The chokepoint in the Drakwald Forest has since been renamed the Hallows of Kreistov, as has the nearby Beastshrine in every game I play.
