    Default Guild limit

So i'm playing as the Moors. I've reached Paris and i intend leave my European borders there and start expanding into Egypt.

I spam Assassins (i have around 16 now trained from Paris) and assassinate literally everything that moves. Danish Cardinals bishops and priests, enemy assassins and spies, merchants princesses diplomats, everything! And still i don't get offered a Hashashim's Guild. There is no guild in Paris currently.

Meanwhile, i'm trying to get a Mechant's Guild in Timbuktu and Arguin, by spamming Mechants and killing them, but so far without success. Instead i constantly get offers from Hashashim Guild at Timbuktu. . Both cities have no guilds. And 20 turns later, guild offers stopped and never appeared again.

I've read the Guild Guide and normally i should get Hashashim's at Paris and merchant's at Timbuktu and Arguin, a long time ago. Plus, i don't even have a Mechant's Major Guild, i was approached by that, several times at Lisbon but i rejected it since i wanted it to be at Timbuktu.

So, did constantly rejecting Hashashims and Merchant's Major Guild in my cities screw things up? Is therea limit in Guild offers you can get?

Playing Retrofit H/M, sorry for any grammar error or something

I donīt know Retrofit, but in Vanilla the offers should just keep coming.
And my advice would be that you continue to affect the guilds the way you are doing already.

In my experience, it helps keeping guild interest high if you have that guild established in other settlements - so you should try to establish the Merchants and Hashashims guild in other settlements in your empire, since it would make them more inclined to continue making offers.

And maybe you shouldnīt be so picky about WHERE every guild is, or should be...

If I hold Timbuktu, I want my merchant guild there, that is for sure

I also don't like assasin/thief guilds in wealthy cities, I try to put them into poor ones.

Iīm just saying that if you just reject every guild all the time, becuase itīs not "the right one for that city", you will eventually end up with no guilds at all.

I almost always let the merchants guild build their houses in every city they want, at least in the early game (good for economy), and if I need space for other guilds later on, Iīll just destroy their cuild houses in some of my cities.
But because they still have majority in my empire, they donīt mind that very much.

Maybe you shouldn't kill your merchants right away? Leave them at the resources in Arguin/Timbuktu (which you probably already do)

Also, I use assassin's from Granada (Wooden Castle --> Stone Castle --> Large Town = around turn 10 you can have your first assassin)

The cardinals of Portugal and Spain should be your goal, to be built up to by assassinating those random rebels (captain & heretics) or other low risk victims (princesses, diplomats).

    Edit:
Turn 1: start upgrade to Stone Castle (2400 florins)
Turn 4: change to Large Town (1600 florins)
Turn 6: build Brothel (800 florins)
Turn 8: build Inn (1600 florins)
Turn 11: train Assassin (550(?) florins)
    Turn 12: first Assassin

By turn 15 you can have the guild in Cordoba, but wanting it at Granada makes it more complicated :p

Some strange things go on with the offering of guilds which do not appear to be strictly related to the numbers accumulated for the guilds. From my experience it seems that the game will offer me merchant guilds continuously if I have many markets and merchants who make many successful acquisitions; but will not offer me swordsmith guilds even though I spam the daylights out of heavy infantry - until the point in the game when all the places that can get a merchants guild have them and then I will start being offered other guilds.

I wonder if having a paved road in a province has any effect on being offered a merchants guild. I have not noticed such being the case but never bothered to look, since building paved roads is always a priority for me.

    It's ussually pretty random.
You sometimes get the guild you want in a completely different town.
Trained assasins at Paris, got guild offer at Antwerp.

The only explanation to this situation is to be a bug or something.

As i said, at Paris region, i have 15-16 assassins trained solely from Paris, that assassinate 9-10 random targets per turn. Basically, everything that moves in line of sight. Also i've reached the Wayfarer's building (Pleasure Palace for Caths i think). So, the Hashashims should fall on their knees before me to get their ing guild in the city.

Also, i've captured Alexandria and Cairo, demolished the Thieve's Guild, and spammed the ''Next Turn'' button, stopping only to build market things and merchants. 30 turns later, no guild offers. Same happens with Rennes and Bruges.

So, it has to be a bug.
