    Default Domus Calvus

Set high on the Palatine Hill, Villa Calvus has long been here.. The current patriarch, a member of the Patrician Julii family was resident here.. His father had died 2 years previously and he had recently been married. Elected to the Quaestorship in his 30th year, Appia Julius Calvus was a true "New Man".. Any visitor is welcome to his home, as long as they are not a filthy pleb...

A letter arrives at the Senator's house

    A letter to the Senator
    Senator,
I must commend your actions in the past weeks. After all the spilled blood and utterly unroman actions of a few, it is warming to see a good Patrician show the mob how a Roman should act. However, it saddens me to see us in competition for the Censorship. If I knew you were running, well, I cannot think of a better man for the job, save, perhaps, for myself.

I hope that this not spark any bad blood between us. We seem to be a dying breed. The one bright lining which I can see at the end of this whole mess is that it will show the mob just how disastrous it would be for Rome if the Senate were to implement every one of their desires. The Senate and the Patricians are there for a reasons, and now, I hope, they know that. So I extend to you every courtesy, you shall never be a stranger to my house.

    In the spirit of friendship,
    Senator Agrippa Furius Camillus
Proud to be under the patronage of Calvin.
    Patron of Lysimachus
