    Default Crimson Tide 4.2 + Permanent Arrows

    Hi everyone,

    I just install crimson tide 4.0 + 4.2 patch. All ok with the textures and effects. Later I install the permanent arrows descr_effects.txt that appears in this forum, but the arrows (and axes) don't appears anywhere. No in the ground and nothing happens when the it throwed to the enemy. Please help me. Thanks

    It's a mod made by Magnus that add exellent blood, dirt, dust and frost effects on the soldiers when expose to diffrent weather and location, I've also install it and the blood look much much better than the current one. You can find it in the stainless steel minimod section.

    But Dani_Madrid did you also install the white text files like descr_projectile, descr_burning_men..etc? If you do that then most rays of magic will be gone (fire of change, orcs magic, dark elf magic, empire rockets - basically anything that doesn't use vanilla fire ray texture and artillary shells model will disapear) You should only install the files inside the yellow folders unless you know how to adapt those text files to CoW 1.4

    About your question, you should go to the thread that you download the mod from and ask the guy who create it directly instead of here.

    I suggest you to not install the descr_projectiles (or how it's named lol) that come with CT...then install all the overlay textures and replace only the files that are bigger than the current ones...I have done it and on COW is simply astounding =)

    Sorry, I think that works, but not... I follow the zack fair steps but the arrows still in the ground about 3 secs, and later dissapear... help!

    I suggest you not to use permanent arrows..They should be made compatible I think

    @danimadrid: i also liked permanent arrows, used it in every mod and worked fine in every mod, but not in call of warhammer, sadly:-( arrows are still there but transparent...snif-snif, i want this so bad, it looks simply better with it...is here anybody who can give us help or make it compatible with call of warhammer mod??? anybody??? i am no modder...

    @the holy pilgrim: holy...holy... if ya could do that for us, i will be more than pleased and satisfied, i know, there are several members here, who would like to install this too...can ya help me with another quite disturbing bug? smoke on muskets and artillery units is only a brown sauce of.... looks like the shields of the gobbos, can't explain it better...and fire on torches looks white if ya fight nightbattles, i use shader 2.0, graphic-card is a gtx 275 with 1024 MBram and the 260.99 geforce driver, it is the latest...

    no, not asking for it, sorry, if i explained it like that, i meant i expierenced it like that...tried other mods, no smoke glitches, no white torches

    Well, when typing a new post (preferably in a new thread), click on the picture and paste the pictures' url in the box (the pictures must be uploaded to imageshack or photobucket first).

    here are the both mentioned bugs, tried several other medieval mods, in no other mod there are such glitches

    permanent arrows staying on the field, but are transparent, very hard to see

    That's very odd. Try using the file below. It may help.

    Just extract it to your "data" folder

    mh, i tried your smokefix, nothing happend :-( ...thx anyway...i can't understand that, no other medieval II mod ever had such graphic glitches on my pc...
