Assassin's in America

How can I recruit assassins in the kingdoms expansion pack in the Americas campaign? I have all the way up to an Inn built, which is all I needed in the original game. My enemies have them already.

I think you need to wait until more "buildings and units" become available.
When playing as New Spain, they get access to new buildings and soldiers/agents as time goes on.

I assume that you are playing as New Spain so yeah they don't have assassins.

Only natives can have them. That are:-
All mesoamerican factions(aztecs, mayans, chichimeca, tlaxcalans & tarascans) can hire assassins from Palace complex & acropolis.

And for Apache you can from Raiders wigwam & Raiders longhouse.

Using assassins is "Unamerican". Therefore, they were not included in this mod.

Funny. I recall using assassins while playing with a native factions.

Got that right. If I remember correctly, all the native factions can use assasins.

Man, Apache have so many units they don't even need assassins. I bet a stack of Rabbit Boys has the same upkeep as an assassin.

Yeah, but the Apacheans are so weak at most other things - they have no armour, no good close combat-units, they´re archers have pretty weak attack, even at range. Their best units are their gun troops, and even then you need alot to gain a real advantage.

I played as the Apacheans first in that game, and progress was so slow (enemies kept throwing full armies at me) that eventually, one of the AI factions won the game before I did.
That was the first time I´ve lost a campaign at this game - enough said...

you lost as apacheans?!?!?!?!?? thats not posibble!!! when i played as them i just steamrolled the usa but when i came to florida i saw french, and then a bloodshed started

Same thing happened to me - I took all the Northern regions, battled the French to extinction, and then started expanding south.
But like I said, the enemies sent full armies at me every turn, or more (!), and progress was unbelievably slow.
Eventually, the Tlaxcalans won the game (so many regions in the central part of the map)

You should be able to hold the southern factions out with you control the northern regions. =O
All your generals and agents (I believe) gain the Nomad trait and its pretty easy to mass produce troops.
Then you can guerilla war in the desert region until you are able to attack your enemy(ies).
Of course, it all depends on your difficulty settings. (H/VH)

I just spammed the Chichimecs with those mounted riflemen - They could move fast, and destroyed full-stack after full-stack. The best unit the Apacheans have, definitely. And one of the few good ones...
But the enemy just kept sending huge armies at me, and reinforcements were slow to get to the frontlines across that vast desert between north and central america.
