    Default Cooling Pad

I need a good (and preferably around $20) cooling pad for my laptop. At the moment it overheats something awful and is capable of giving me a first degree burn (yes, most of it's chassis/exterior/whatever is metal).

Any other ways to keep the lappy cool?

It's at Best Buy for 20 bucks. So should I get it? What does everyone else think?

Most cooling pads Ive had (Ive been through about 10) are loud, that one is quiet

Most are expensive (that is cheap)

Most are ugly (that is purdy)

Most are designed badly (That one allows airflow around the lappy)

But yeah, Im sure there are others.. Not so sure for less though

I would go for the notepal U line (ranging from the 0-3 fans or more if you buy separate)

you can put the fans anywhere in the base, letting you have direct control where the air is needed

aha! you like the design! its not that bad... but anyway they dont sell it at best buy? tsic always the worst buy.

    Now here are some others:

coolermaster: (Im going to get one for myself, my old X line still works after all these years, but I need more air, so... I bought the new air cd, which is great btw, have you listened to it? its really great they did reinvent themselves a little and still maintain the quality of the songs, I like the 4th track)

SF-19:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834997935 (this is a beast, and has the ac plug, 2 140mm fans power this monster, it gives you airflow enough to create a katrina inside your poor lappy)

Zalman (this one is great but it is expensive, the good thing about it is the ac plug [apparently sold separate] which in turn gives you more power to the fans):

This. I'm looking for something that can be obtained at a store near me. Mail is not an option as the mail in my area gets stolen frequently (read: anything that's not the electric bill).

I dunno my man, I dont live near the BB that you use, nor do I have the stocking manifest with me. Go fair with the wind and try to find out walking there, beware to not get a cold, last I heard the blizzards were pretty intense up there, too bad that it was the annoying kind of blizzard, much better if it would just rain some SC2 eh?

I can only point out to you those that are good and as such I consider for myself

Zalman coolers are worth looking at. Solidly built and relatively quiet. The real cheapo ones are a total waste of money, noisy and probably start 'rattling' the minute they're plugged in. Coolers that blow air in are better than those which suck air way.

is this an old laptop? Might be worth first trying to clear the dust from it, that will be far more efficient than blowing air on it.
