    Now from my understanding the game should start normally with Norway having a different type of religious buildings and the like.
    But the game will not start now and I cant figure out why because I followed the instructions carefully.
    Is it possible that I needed to remove other referances Norway has to Catholic buildings or else it will continue to crash??

    Assuming the first line, a single } is from the building treee above...
    Did you change norways religion in descr_sm_factions?
    You should loose the pope_disapproval lines as this means the pope becomes annoyed when this building is destroyed.
    Enums are irrelevant, they are for your own record and not used by the game.
    You may need to go through a few more step first. Follow this and if you still have problems, then post back here and I should be able to help.

    Yup I did, first thing I did.

    Edited all pope stuff out of it there.

    I went through all the steps at the start in that tutorial there and edited it accordingly.
    But still cant load the game, keeps crashing when I try to start up the game.
    Could it be that there are still some Catholic buildings or units or the like still assosciated with Norway that havent been deleted and so it crash's?
    Because as far as I can tell the lines of code I have put in should work?
    Cheers for the help.

    A few basics, if you've made any changes to the base folder, for example religion percentages in descr_regions, you need to delete map.rwm.
    Assuming you altered the temple's for norway in descr_start and changed/commented out any priest characters, what does your log show?

    Yup, I edited the religion percentages in Scandinavia and some British regions.
    Found that map.rwm there and deleted it.

    Im not sure I edited descr_start, where can I find that file?
    Also what do you mean by my log?

    Lol typo, descr_strat. In the main folder there should be a logs sub-folder with a text file inside, depending on your .cfg settings it could also be in the main folder. This has a record that can be used to solve some problems.

    In my main data folder for KGCM there isnt a descr_strat folder either.
    Also the logs folder only exists in the main Medievel total war folder, im specifically editing files in the Kingdoms Grand Campain Mod folder which is different to the Vanilla version.

    descr_strat is a text file in the imperial_campaign folder which you should really have looked at already. (world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign)
    The logs folder is always in the main folder, it records every time a game is launched, be it a mod or not.

    #Edit
    Should have responded to this. The first line of your export_descr_buildings (EDB) file is a } on its own.
    That is not part of the entry for building temple_s_pagan, it's from the entry above it... You need to be carefull with the formating in these files, a line of space or two between building tree's won't hurt

    Haha sorry sorry, found it there thanks to yourself and Irishron and yes I have edited that already basically editing all referances of churchs in Norwegian settlements and stating that Norway are pagan and not catholic.
    As for the Logs folder, it is empty, nothing in it at all.

    Last time I used KGCM the log text wasn't in the logs folder. You need to look for a system.log.txt in the main folder...

    The .cfg for any mod is in its main folder. Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod
    medieval2.kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod.cfg

    That's the one, open export_descr_buildings.txt (EDB) and ctrl+G to line 6042 this is the line where the error is. Can't be sure what you did wrong but likely you missed a { out before the capability line.

    Good and bad news, I did miss out on a { before the capability line, edited there to be right but the bad news is it is still not loading.

    OK, so we need more detailed log settings. Change the .cfg in the mods folder
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    [log]
    to=logs/kgcm.system.log.txt
    level = * trace
    file = game.script.* logs/kgcm.script2.log.txt
    file = game.script* logs/kgcm.script.log.txt
    file = game.script logs/kgcm.scriptoutput.log.txt
    file = ai.ltgd logs/kgcm.ai.log.txt

    This will place 4 log files in the logs folder, hopefully the problem will show up.
