I need Help

Hello everyone,

first of all, thank you for this great mod.
I downloaded the mod and the latest ptach yesterday and i wanted to play it.
I am using Total War Rome Gold.

But there is one big mistake.
I can start the game, after that i start the mod script by click on the sow me how button.
The problem is: When i end the turn, the season isnot changing. Also if i end the second turn, the year is also not changing. It is still year 361 or 355.

Can anyone help me, please?

How many turns per year are you playing? I am not sure what the default one is but it might be 4 per year. Check in the IJ folder for 'options/scripts' and look for 4 turns per year.

Thank you for your answer.
I didnot change the turn script. I didnot use any options.
I just play the normal version of the 355AD mod or the 361D mod.

Well now i tried some of the options, but it is till not working
Sometimes when i activate the mod scrpit the year change to 444AD.

Right now i run a new installation without the patch.

Could it be that the download scoure is corrupted??

Possible - download and install including the latest patch. Try it again. If that still produces quirky dates, wait till Julianus Heraclius comes online as he will probably be able to help better!

Well i downloaded the files again and did a total new installation.
Nothing has changed.
The date isnot changing. It always says 361 AD summer.

Anything else seems to run perfect.

Well one time i played 5 turns, another 10 turns, and after that i did test with 3 turns, but nothing has changed.

I install Rome Gold and the mod now 5 times. There is the same error always.

OK - all I can suggest is a few questions here. Is the mod installed into a clean RTW/BI directory? Has it been modded at all? Are you playing any other mods within that directory? OK - that's really the same question in different formats!

JH should be able to help when he is free - I expect he is still caught in post-New Year stuff so please be patient.

Well it is installed in a clean directory.

The mod is not modded.

I donot play any othe mod right now.

Only i wanted to inform, what i did, so we can find the error faster.

OK.

Firstly, clicking on the show me how icon activates a 4 turns per year script, so you would not expect any change in date for 4 turns.

From what you are saying even after 10 turns the date hasn't changed which I find very strange.

I am assuming that you have installed the mod into your clean RTW folder.

Try loading the game and not activating the script. This defaults then to a 2 turns per year and should then change years after two turns.

Try this and let me know. If it works, then try activating the script aagain and see what happens.

I cant see the flags of my and enemy units during battles.
Can anyone help?

That's because the flags have been disabled to reflect the chaotic environment of battle.

Yeah thats the problem. It's too chaotic. I can't even determine my troops by all this clash of units.

Ok then i am forced to try harder recognicing my troops during battles.

If it is causing you sio much grief, then you can reinstate the banners.

Go to your preferences folder which is contained with the IJ folder. In there you will find a preferences.txt file.

Go to the line where it says SHOW_BANNERS:FALSE. Replace FALSE with TRUE.

That will reinstate the banners for you.
