    I haven't played it in months and one night I had a huge surge to play it again. So I am downloading it again from you know where and I'm wondering if I should install mods or not. I want to give the MP a shot but then using mods would be a bad idea I guess. And if the AI is still stupid, what mods will improve it? I prefer mods that are not overhauls and only touch the internals(As in no new units/skins etc)

    I am in the same position like you....wondering to give Napoleon another try or maybe even get back to Empire???

    well, the mp campaign community has improved some with fewer noobs and leavers

    I'd say both the ETW and NTW online communities are better now though lesser in size. ETW is a blast to play online, much more fun and balanced than NTW.
