I am planning to start playing Third Age soon and I was wondering which mods people are playing it with. Do you use Stainless Steel, RC & RR, or other mods?

I think he is trying to say what other Medieval II mods do you play along with Third Age
I play Thera: Legacy of the Great Torment as Avalon
ROME 2 Mod: More Cities and Settlements on Campaign Map: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=194761024
SS 6.3, SS 6.2 RR/RC and TATW 2.1
SS.
Deus Lo Vult, and LOTR TW for Rome TW![]()
Stainless Steel 6.3, Hundred Years war 0.99 and Broken Crescent 2.02.
And Third Age is meant to be played with FRoME as submodand the alternative unit interface, Scout of Imladris's mod, and warman's animations, and the fixes for the crossbowbolts an throwing axes, all compatible. Tried to add AUM 2.0 too, but it still has some minor issues I have to work out.
For Rome I play Europa Barbarorum or Roma Surrectum II, and with Barbarian invasion Invasio Barbarorum or Fall of Rome.

FROME + AUM 2.1 + AUI gold v1.20 + Limited activities script + warman's animations + Reduced city mod.
I like units variety, and I think this offers the most (until DaC mod is out ! xD).
On top of this, I added my own changes - because the fights were too easy. I really miss RR/RC mod. It contains :
- OOTMM / OG / Mordor / Isengard hand to hand units boosted by + 0.5 attack (yeah, I play good factions usually, so this helps OOTMM / OG last a bit longer and I know Mordor and Isengard didn't really need it, but I liked them to be stronger - it's a very slight boost anyway).
- Moral boost for every units. The point was to make fights last longer - the longer the fight, the more men you lose. I finally added 20% moral to hand to hand units, 10% to javelins/axethrowers and 5% to archers. Fights are a bit longer now, and thus a bit more realistic. Large fights vs good generals are more of a challenge in the sense that you lose more men - so fighting several stacks in a row with the same army is now hard.
- Some units boosted (again, slightly), pure personnal taste here :p
Edit: Sorry for the long post, but you asked for my set up, here you go![]()

It's clear to me that he'll be playing Third Age and wants to know with what mods should he play it with, meaning sub mods.I am planning to start playing Third Age soon and I was wondering which mods people are playing it with. Do you use Stainless Steel, RC & RR, or other mods?
To mean what everyone is thinking he would have written:

Stainless Steel 6.3. I'm going to probably start playing Thera or Broken Crescent, but i just got into TATW and i should exhaust that experience before i move on

I didn't know you couldn't play Stainless Steel with Third Age. So that makes my question simpler. I have been told you can't play Third Age 2.1 with RC & RR. So is it better to play Third Age 2.1 or Third Age 2.0 with RC & RR? Are there any other mods that go real good with Third Age?
Can people read? Why are people thoroughly ignoring the OP's question?
Since there was a whole faction rework I suggest you keep it to Third Age 2.1. Play vanilla for a while and then if you want you can check out popular sub mods like Forgotten Realms of Middle-Earth and Baron Samedi's compilation.
apart from third age tw i'm playing Roma Surrectum II mod for rome tw,very good so far.
that last kingdom mod looks good,i'll keep an eye out for that one.
