Download and install instruction for 1.4

Hey guys , After read some post about how to download , how to install , how .... so I decided to post this thread .(correct me if I'm wrong)

I.Download link :
Forget the download link , you have the torrent .
Torrent: 1.4 + sound setup (thanks holynevil)

II.So you must download what and install what ?
A.For newcomer , for anyone who don't have anything about CoW :
1.Download 1.4 setup and music patch . Or just simple download the torrent
2. Unrar , install 1.4 setup at whatever place you like in your PC
3. Now we have the folder Call_of_Warhammer , cut this folder to Medieval II Total War\mods\ , so it will look like Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer
4. Unrar , run file Call_of_Warhammer_1.01_sound_setup.exe , and again , install it at whatever place you like in your PC .
5. Now we have the folder sounds at the place you just install . The size of this folder will ~1Gb . Overwrite the sounds folder in Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer\data with this 1Gb folder .
6.Download the English Translation 1.4 from here . Unrar , you will have a folder name text and a file name descr_strat.txt ,
Drop the text folder into your Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer\data . (it will overwrite the existing folder)
Drop the descr_strat.txt into your Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign (it will overwrite the original text which was causing problems with the English translation)
7. Run the file \mods\Call_of_Warhammer\warhammer.bat and you will have CoW 1.4 english version

B.For CoW veteran , who follow the Holy CoW since the day version 1.00 released :
1. Delete all your CoW setups , translations (except the sound setup) and follow the A

Stupid question I know but we can run this from CoW folder? So I can just leave Teutonic alone, no uninstall required?

version 1.4 is foldered , so there is no uninstall required .

Well 1.4 wasn't foldered with the unibytes so i reckon thatshould've been my first clue something was wrong.

When you unpack music folder it has except sound folder '' export_desrc_unit'' text file. Do we need this file to copy or can I delete it ?

I would copy it. But make a back up first.

DO NOT DO THIS!!! Your game will crash upon start up and if you did not make a backup or save your download, then you will have to download the mod again

FOR THE COW TEAM AND ANY MEMBER WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THIS GREAT MOD

When I finish with the mod download I will install the mod and it's music and then I will zip that folder up and then post it to something like filefront anything but unibytes, goddamn that thing is slow! And when I figure out how I will upload it to a torrent site. I plan to keep my promise. It will be a virgin 1.4 setup, completely unmodded and untouched I will upload it before I start touching the files.

That will leave us with the unibytes mirror, THP's torrent, and the one I plan on uploading.

I tell you what. I've just uploaded CoW 1.4 to the Demonoid site. It's a public torrent so you shouldn't need an account. Do a search for it on their website and it should appear. I'm just waiting for them to add it to their list. Once I see I did it right and people reply they were able to find it and I actually figure out what the hell they did to the music I'll make a separate torrent for the music only. It'll probably be done later today.

Also everyone I wanted to apologize for taking so long to upload a torrent. I had to work last night from 9pm-7am so I am dead to the world I still have not slept.

And my uploads which I will upload when it is done downloading. It will be 1.4 with music included

Hmmm? I copied it before in 1.3 and it works perfectly fine for me?

Easiest way is to only tick the (1GB) torrent, usually you get the choice of which parts of a torrent to download.
