So what do you need to do in order to make it work?
PLEASE, I'm literally begging you make a mirror link to this whenever I download things from Megaupload or w/e it doesn't work, my Winrar always encounter's errors and such, like corrupted files and etc.
Please upload this elsewhere, I can't play because I already extrated the corrupted files into my RS2, please upload it to some other sites. Thanks in advance RS2 Team!
I guess I should apologize then, yeah?
Sorry but I'm not really the type of guy that sits on his computer for 12 hours and etc., I only play games for entertainment so forgive my seemingly annoying stupidity.
Anyways, I'm re-installing it sorry to have bothered you.
You did not bother anyone. THe thing was that you did not read it properly, and if you do not understand something, oyu either ask, or leave it alone before doing it yourself
No offence intended, Im sorry
GREAT thanks!!!![]()

Yeah for those who haven't read this properly or have misunderstood...if you have rs2 you don't need to do anything.
This was released so that people with some modding skill can incorporate the changes into other mods like EB or SPQR and release as a submod.
Hannibal smith, those files are improved shaders.
The new shaders were already in RS2, and in it's mod_0.pak file.....which contains things that would be of no use to anyone else. I put them in the download like that because they need to be put in 'a' mod_0.pak file...regardless of whatever other mod they are used in....in order for them to work. RTW included some updated shaders in one of the patch pak files, so the new ones RS2 uses can only be 'activated', so to speak, by having them in a mod_0.pak file that is looked at by the game before any other.
These shaders were converted from M2TW to work with RS2. They provide better light and shadow in the environment and on the units....I suspect they were updated by SEGA\CA to use a few newer routines in video software than the old shaders.
But they are optional, and not absolutely necessary.

Will the new environment work for M2tw? If so would they look just as good?
As far as I'm aware no one has tried to create new vegetation for m2tw...so probably a bit of experimentation would be needed from someone with some modding experience...but it should look much the same as long as it can be made to work.
Yes, it should be completely compatible.
Not without some modification, because M2TW uses different folders for ground textures (and means of applying them) and different climate names.
The reason no one can regenerate the vegetation in M2TW is because SEGA\CA didn't include the vegetation models in the game.
