Default Does anyone use DXTBmp? I need some help

Is there anyone who uses DXTBmp for skinning?
If so, could you perhaps explain to me how I have to use it for reskinning?
I know I can open the .DDS file with it, then I export it to PSP and there I can reskin it. Then I have to save it as DDS x 5 or something, but then what. How do I get my new skin in the game?
    Please help?

Ok, here is how I do it.
After editing in paint I save as a tga. Then I drop the tga back into DXTbmp.
Then I import the alpha and apply it to the image then save as a dds Texture.
Then I drag and drop the edited texture back into the RTW\data\models_unit\textures folder or for BI the RTW\bi\data\models_unit\textures folder
    Thats it.

Note* The alpha I import is the original alpha from the texture which I export/saved.

Hey i have a question based on icetorques post. Is it possible to edit an image in plain old paint?

Because when i click send to editor - nothing comes up in paint. I had a look around and i cant see anything recieved. Am i going to have to get a proper skinning program to work with dxtbmp?

    thanks

You could try using paint.NET http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/download.html
