Default New to SPQR - Quick Question

I've been playing RTR for some time now and decided to give SPQR a try. I've also read about how SPQR needs to be played on "HUGE" settings.

It seems that Rome's armies (Julii) in SPQR are no larger than RTR/RTW (about 80 per unit), but I'm encountering massive Gallic and Greek armies (much larger than typical RTR sizes). So I am unsure if I am, in fact, on HUGE settings and I'm hoping that someone could tell me what to do!

    Thanks!

80 per unit you are not on huge. 160 is what romans use on huge in this mod (used to be 120!!!!)

So how do I fix that? Will I need to restart my campaign or reinstall or anything?

    Thanks

for rtw 1.2 and (any mod) you can fix the size army, data, season, fix difficulty set, etc
    and more with "Rome-Sage".

    find it into =ET=FullToolsCollection1.0

I think you can also change the units sizes mid campaign by changing it in the preferences.txt file. Don't quote me on it though

You may be correct here - but your existing units will be the small size.

Yes, you do have to restart. But FIRST:
    - Go to Options
    - Check the advanced options box
    - Under "unit size" select HUGE or VERY HUGE
    - Hit the "back" arrow in the lower left hand corner - that saves your settings

later in the game, after the marius reforms.. Should be shortly after 220 BC, so you have to wait a good 50 years(100 turns)

You have to go to preference.txt, and go to, forgot which line, it has a one of these numbers, 20,40,60,80, or 160. In your case, most likely, you will find 80, change that to 160 and it will automaticly change all the units to huge settings.

Better balance and Epic battles. you can play on Large but Huge is what the Mod was designed for.
