Default What unit settings do you play in?

I did a search, and nothing turned up.

I was just wondeing what the majority of you play in? Am i missing the Epicness of huge, or is large sufficient enough to deliver epic battles in your opinion with less lag.

I play in large, as many times i get Lag on Huge and i don't like the 2 year recruitment system for units.

This applies for all mods btw.

I personally play on huge, it just doesnt feel right otherwise. And are you talking about the 2 turn recruitment for elite units or what?

Yeh you really need to experience huge. Huge with min settings is better than large with max settings. I really hope that they lift the unit size for the next game or let us control more units.

Barbariabs and cav make it feel more epic, as the civilized factions have denser ranks. Cav takes up the most room, so a 3k cav army feels huge and very realistic. And then to see them charge...

I usually have huge, probably the downside is that on my computer 3x speed is slower than normal speed!

So far i have used huge unit settings but for EB I use large because othervise the economics kill me.

i did like doing large and huge but i went back to normal and liked it more becuase i had no lag and i don't mind not having huge epic battles....still fun either way in my opinion.

I like huge, since 80 was the standard number for a century and I can't make it big enough for real cohorts and my computer would slow down a lot more in huge.

I play on huge to try to make larger battles. Vanilla RTW's large unit setting is 80 right? Their Huge setting is 160, so that is twice the men.

I play with all settings set to high. That is why I usually play for 1 1/2 hours, or the computer feels like it will explode.

Playing on large as it's enough for me and My comp.

I play on huge, with all settings ultra-high (according to preferences.txt), I cant imagine playing it on a smaller setting (shrug).

I've played on Large for about the first 2 years of playing this game. I just got a new card, and now im playing on Huge. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. = ) I was starting to get bored of the game, but then i got the card, set new settings, and im playin as the Germans in the Darthmod. it is FANTASTIC. Especially the epic battles, which i just had one last night with my 2-3 bronze chevron, about 14 coharts, (6 Spear warband, 2 archers, 3 skirmishers, 1 samnite mercs, 1 cav. and General) against 18 Coharts of the SPQR, each with 32 bronze chevs, cant remember the units, but the basic setup of a roman army, and honestly, i survived on pure strategy.... with alot of luck. anyways, they attacked me, i setup in the forest, and somehow i came out the victor. I just felt like sharing that with you guys. = )

so HUGE settings all the way.

Normal, actually. My computer isn't all that flash, and it gets annoyingly laggy if I play on large with RTR. However, when I download EB (next week) I'll try a couple of battles on large, and then see what I'll play my campaign as...

I play on large, but only because things get a little slow with RTR or EB with all the setting maxed out and unit settings on huge. But with large everything runs smooth.

I play with everything (units, details etc) on medium with no sound. My computer sucks. I can't play more than 2000 person battle without lag on my current settings.

large. On huge I find that alot of the time its hard to fit your army into a strategic position.
