Voltigeur vs Chasseurs

Simple question, which one do you think is more effective in multiplayer battles, and why?

Voltigeurs; of the following reasons:
-They are cheaper.
-They can deploy stakes.
-They are superior in certain stats.
-They are hard to kill.

Considering that France only has a choice of two light infantry, those of which cannot match the standard of Prussia and Britain, I would only ever use their light infantry
to engage the enemy light and harass them before moving powerful elite units, such as the Old Guard in. Voltigeurs, I have found out of experience, can take heavy punishment
and are very hard to kill, thus being of better use in the army than Chasseurs.

Although you could argue Chasseurs have more men, they rout easier and their stats alone cannot inflict as much damage as other light infantry.

i prefer chasseurs, probably because of the men and the fact that i dont usually deploy stakes.plus me and voltiguers have personal issues to sort out.

Voltiguer as they are cheaper, they are more accurate and they can stake up. Stakes are so useful in a skirmish fight

personally i dont like chasseurs as they arent as good as prussian or gb lights and frances strength is in there cav and elites so just spam cav and elites and dont worry about the lights, i do use volts as a meatshield though as there cheap enough and can give some supporting fire if they survive i also find there a good distraction for enemy cav to attack so you can waste there cav away

never used them much but i hated going against Voltigeur's in a 2v2 3v3 where you cant just go around stakes.The bloody things just dont die and if the stakes were on a slight hill there is just no point attacking it.

I just did a bunch of tests in NTW, and results show that voltigeurs are slightly better in a simple firefight. Combine that with the stakes and lower cost and voltigeurs are best.

couple of cav charges by french lancers, which are well done and by by prussian light

Any way most games have a max to how many light allowed
