Default Recruit-able units missing from buildings?

I vaguely remember another topic speaking of this subject so I know this isn't a glitch, however I couldn't seem to find the thread anywhere, so I apologize for any redundancy . Anyway my question as I am sure has been asked a few times before pertains to the lack of units that can be recruited from buildings. For example I went into the building browser and checked the last version of the military barracks, that being the armory, and when I right-clicked it, the building showed that it could only recruit spearmen, militia spearmen, peasants and some other weak unit. My question is will I unlock more units as time progresses (which is what I am assuming) or am I just stuck with these units because it adds challenge? Also this is occurring because of Real Recruitment no? Can anyone shed some light on this matter? Thanks!

    No problem.

    Correct

It adds to the challenge and realism but you are not stuck
Also this is occurring because of Real Recruitment no?
    Correct.
Can anyone shed some light on this matter? Thanks!
Hope this helped - if you want to go back to the "old style" I suggest you try the excellent "NoWaiting" submod.

Alright thanks for the help! All the answers I needed haha. However I have come to realize that I may have put my self in a predicament by adjusting my descr_strat so it progresses a half year at a time, meaning it will take forever in order to obtain those new units I will take your advice and look up the No waiting mod.

The good news is that it will apply to your ongoing campaign, can't remember anything preventing that. But: It is incompatible with the Submod compilation. Also remember to install the fixes first if you haven't already.

Got the no waiting mod installed and I am loving my campaign now! Makes it exactly the way I want it. (Good thing it's save game compatible as starting over would of sucked) Finally I will rule Europe as the The Holy Roman Empire! Thanks again.
