So, I decided to play the Crusades Campaign in Kingdoms. I choose the Turks and my initial strategy was to blitz Antioch. I went straight down the line, taking Edessa, Aleppo, and Antioch. I'm pretty close to the 30 turn requirement for holding Antioch, and thus pretty close to eliminating Antioch. Jerusalem is being pounded by Egypt and I have an army waiting to stab them in the back. To back this all up, I am rather safe financially at ~30,000.
The problem arises with my Anatolian campaign against the Byzantines and the imminent invasion by the Mongols. Unfortunately, and rather stupidly, I have focused too much on the Crusader kingdoms and have allowed the Byzantines to amass a rather formidable force. One of their settlements have defected to me and I have been able to hold it down rather well; however, they have taken one of my settlements (Ankara, I believe) and have a force good enough to take Nicaea. I have two fully stacked armies in the mountains, but I don't know where to send them. These armies consist of units derived from my Iraqi towns; therefore, Baghdad and its surroundings are vulnerable to an imminent appearance and subsequent invasion by the Mongols.
Thus, my question is this: should I send my armies to reinforce my Anatolian or Iraqi settlements? Thanks
