Graphics Card issues?

Hello there!

So, i have a pretty lame system but i was able to play NTW on its lowest settings.

Then my graphics card broke, it was an NVidia GeForce 8300 GS. So in the shop i tell the salesman i want a like for like replacement (apparantly the card i had is only used to put into CPU when in production or something).

The salesman tells me that an ATI Radeon HD 5450 is very similar to the NVidia one i had and that i will get similar performance from it!

So, i installed it and the latest drivers for it, but NTW doesnt seem wo work properly anymore.

It loads up fine to the menu, but whenever a battle or the campaign map loads up the screen starts to flicker and it is so bad the game is unplayable.

Is there something im missing here, or is the ATI Radeon HD 5450 not good enough to run NTW??

Did you or your saleman uninstall the nvidia drivers, and run Driver Sweeper before installing the AMD ones? 10.5 drivers are the best right now.

Also did you delete the scripts folder and verify your game cache integrity so the game can find your new card?

I installed it myself coz the dude wanted £50 to do it, which sounded a bit pricey to me!

I deleted the NVidia drivers fine and added the AMD ones, but im not sure how to do the next bit you say... deleting scripts folder and what not!

After reading through your first reply i went and found the NTW scripts folder and deleted the file inside it! Then when i launched NTW it runs fine, on campaign map and in battles!

Wouldnt have guessed at trying that though, my initial (and only ) thought was i had been lied to by the sales guy!
