seriously, why the good sides consist of small size but strong units never have big scary monsters and why the good sides always are human and elves, bad sides always are big, ugly orcs and other scary races

because the evil side was created by the dark lord morgoth, sauron's master...
Aren't Ents big and scary?

I'd have to agree with this. While from a gameplay perspective it sucks. Lorewise it make sence for the evil factions to get the cool looking beasts and monsters. It adds the gameplay. Afterall High fantasy, good vs evil is always about the good guys having to fight against endless hordes of evil and giant beats of burden.
Ents are enough for the good side, and giant eagles (if they ever get added)

That's awesome first noob post, really.
Welcome to the forums.
You guys have this all wrong! This is why.
If you haven't noticed the Good Guys have an oversized ego, and they are like "I am Aragorn, I can kill anyone in one hit and never die *evil laugh".
Meanwhile, the evil guys are like normal and they say "Hey look a troll, come here boy, have some meat, good troll".
You see how it works now? Evil shows compassion to the weird and ugly things because they care, while good is cutting forests and driving the animals to extinction!
It always has to be harder for the good guys to win than the bad guys. Hence they have weaker armies (no large monsters) except for when they're needed for deus ex machina (like the ents, eagles, etc.).
But there's also the fact that as you said, these are big, scary monsters. Scary goes better with evil than good.
And as Lordinquisitor said, Tolkien basically started modern fantasy.
